※ The research director is in charge of procuring basic research facilities and putting together a research team for the individual of outstanding global talent to conduct the research project as its PI
Research Director : Full time KAIST faculty in charge of managing the research project, outstanding global talent, and industry-academia partnerships
※ Individuals under sanctions such as restrictions on participation in KAIST projects may not apply (Researchers restricted from participating in national R&D projects and KAIST projects may apply only if such restrictions expire one day prior to the deadline for applications)
※ Maximum of 2 individuals of outstanding global talent may apply under each research director (within the last 5 years)
Outstanding global talent : Non-full time KAIST researcher (post-doc researcher, assistant research professor, etc.) holding PhD, working on a G-CORE research project
※ Able to perform role until project completion (Individuals who change or forfeit their roles without justifiable cause during the course of the project may be disallowed from participation)
Participating enterprise (partner enterprise) : Participating enterprises provide matching funds (enterprise’s share of funding), and share research content, progress, etc., with the research team
※ Research teams have to recruit/organize participating enterprises for A,B,C project types
- Outstanding Global Talen Project is promoted through classification of the contents of the project and the method of support according to the cooperation method, such as research content, research subject, and utilization of global talent
- Participating Corporation (Partner Corporation)
- A corporations that has R&D demand for the development of new next-generation products and original technology
- Create industry-type research output Develop new products and original technology needed by the corporation
